Just A Little History
The Aquilla Water Supply District is located in Hill County and serves an area of 513 square miles. The District obtains raw water through a contract with the Brazos River Authority from Lake Aquilla and supplies treated water to five (5) wholesale customers: City of Hillsboro, Brandon-Irene Water Supply Corporation, Files Valley Water Supply Corporation, Hill County Water Supply Corporation and Chatt Water Supply Corporation. Files Valley Water Supply Corporation supplies water to Parker Water Supply Corporation and the City of Milford. Brandon-Irene Water Supply Corporation supplies water to the City of Bynum.

Acheivements
Since 2014 the District has been a part of the TCEQ's Texas Optimization Program. The District's water treatment plant is one (1) of 16 of the 300+ plants in Texas to achieve the goals of this program and has been recognized five consecutive years at the annual TCEQ Water Conference held in Austin. The District also maintains it's recognition received in 2017 as a Superior Public Water System for the high standards of water service made to it's wholesale customers. The District goal it to continue to meet and exceed all Safe Drinking Water Standards established by the TCEQ and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
